10 Pulitzer Prize winners....

http://www.bestcollegesonline.net/blog/2010/10-pulitzer-winners-everyone-should-own/

A great list with some surprising (to me) mentions.  #1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 9 are titles I've never read.  Has anyone read the whole list?

  1. Amy I've read A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy O’Toole, an amazing book and very funny. A great read. Highly recomended.

  2. 1,5,7,9 are also new to me. I have read the others on the list though, most while I was in college. I have found that the more recent PP winners do not appeal to me like the classics that are on this list (Steinbeck! Lee! Mitchell!)

  3. I'm struggling through a Pulitzer winner right now so I was a little scared to click through to this list, but I've read 7 of them! Everything except the Mailer, O'Toole, and Cheever. All very "manly" books, those ones I've skipped!

  4. I loved The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon. I was ambivalent about it when I saw it first, but a trustworthy friend recommend it and he normally hits the nail on the head with his recommendations so I gave it a go. It was really good, very well developed narrative and characters. I have since passed my copy along to another friend.
